Go 2 College
High school is drawing to a close. You've gotten your SAT scores and now need to decide what to do for your next step in life. It's time to search for a school where you can continue your education--a necessity these days to be competitive to employers. The internet can be an invaluable tool in your search.
Start by listing which things are most important to you. Maybe location is a big factor, whether you want to be close to home or as far away as possible. You can do a web search for a school by city or state. Or maybe you already know exactly what you want to major in. You can search for a school that meets those needs by checking out their curriculums and faculty members. Even the size of a school can be a big consideration - do you want to attend an enormous university with 40,000 students or a small 1,000-person college? |
College Requirements
The next step, once you've narrowed down which schools you want to apply for, is to see what you need to do to get in. What does your grade point average have to be? Is there an expected range of SAT scores? Or do you need impressive extracurricular activities?
Again, the internet can be a useful tool in putting together your college application. Look on alumni pages for graduates of the school living nearby who might be willing to talk to you, or, better yet, email the school and see if you can visit and talk to current students.
