Overview
Academy of Massage & Bodywork, Inc. is committed to advancing the art and science of therapeutic massage and associated bodywork modalities. We are committed to promoting alternative health care, and training professional therapists in therapeutic massage, ethics, business, personal development, and continuing education units, as well as providing an ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals) approved curriculum.
AMB ensures that class sizes will be small, with a student-to-instructor ratio <= 10:1. This provides highly individualized attention and instruction for all students. Modality classes may have a higher ratio, as they are also open to the public and continuing education students.
We offer a 650-hour NCE-approved massage certification program. Our accelerated 16-week program enables you to begin your career in massage therapy in four months!

Accreditation
- AMB’s Massage Certification Program is designed to follow guidelines and requirements set forth by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB), and the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP). AMB is a state licensed school by the Michigan Dept. of Labor & Economic Growth.
Currently, Massage is unlicensed in Michigan. For this reason, the NCBTMB standard is the de facto standard of excellence in the state. In order to attain the NCBTMB license, students must complete a certification program which satisfies all prerequisites defined by NCBTMB.
