Overview
The Center for Undergraduate Education (CUE) is the coordinating body for all Undergraduate Professional Entry Programs at Alliant International University. CUE offers bachelor’s degree programs that draw upon the core academic strengths of the graduate programs at Alliant International University, including the Applied Communications, Public Relations and Criminal Justice fields.
Located on the San Diego Campus of Alliant International University in Scripps Ranch, the CUE campus program provides a unique avenue toward completion of your bachelor's degree programs. Unlike other universities in California, at Alliant International University the flexible schedules make it easy, and our small class sizes of 15-20 students keep the learning focused on you. Bachelor´s Degree Programs offered
at Alliant International University
- BA in Liberal Studies for Education (BALS) -
The Liberal Studies for Education major is a two-year degree completion program which prepares students in the subject areas required to enter a teacher education program. Students can choose from two concentrations: English or math. The program provides students with opportunities to build content knowledge that will allow them to become effective teachers in the classroom. The Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies for Education prepares students to pass the California Subject Matter Examination for Teachers – Multiple Subject (CSET) exam. It also is a pathway for qualified students into Alliant’s certification/master’s in Education program. Students who prefer to choose a different concentration can follow the general Liberal Studies track. Courses in the program provide a liberal and intercultural education, with opportunities to focus on a concentration within a discipline; to further develop skill in critical thinking; and to deepen one’s competencies in interpersonal, oral, written, quantitative and technology-based skills.
- BA in Criminal Justice (BACJ) -
The bachelor’s degree program in Criminal Justice at Alliant International University offers an interdisciplinary approach to the study of criminal justice as it focuses on the individual, family, community, and society. Classroom and field experiences are integrated so students will have ample opportunities for practical application of theory as they address the pressing psychological, sociological, neurological, economic and cultural needs that shape human society and contribute to criminality and social deviance. The Criminal Justice program is taught by Alliant faculty and active professionals, experts in the field who come from a broad range of backgrounds in the social and behavioral sciences, the judiciary, and medicine.
- BA in Communication/Marketing Public Relations (BACM or BMPR) -
The degree completion program in Communication with a Concentration in Marketing & Public Relations (MPR) has been strategically designed for students who want to become such highly-sought after professionals in the multicultural and international world of work. This is one of a few programs in the nation which responds to the business community’s relatively new need for experts in integrated marketing communication. The Bachelor of Arts in Communication Marketing & Public Relations prepares students for advanced study and entry-level professional positions. Because of its inherent interdisciplinary nature, the program is made up of courses that are taught collaboratively by professors from across such disciplines as communication, psychology, marketing, public relations, and writing. Integrated capstone and internship components allow students to actually practice their skills through a series of applied experiences. The program is designed to provide students with the expertise to help businesses leverage their public relations functions in their attempts to enhance their marketing capabilities.
