Cosmetology Schools and Programs

Cosmetology is the field of study where an expert in the use of cosmetics practices the art of beautifying the face, hair and skin. A Cosmetologist, also known as a beautician, will advice clients on beauty treatments.

To become a licensed Cosmetologist you need to prepare yourself for a State Licensing Examination. Once you become a licensed Cosmetologist you will be able to work in beauty salons, resort hotels, cruise ships, or have the opportunity to own your own salon.
