What is an Automotive Technician?

An Automotive Technician is a craftsman skilled in operating machine tools. If you become an automotive technician you will be in charge of repairing and maintaining automobiles. Automotive technology also refers to the activity of designing and constructing automobiles.

If you always enjoyed seeing how things work and from an early age you have been doing things with your hands, tinkering and solving problems, you might be well on your way to train as an automotive technician and get a diploma or a certification from one of the institutions below.

If you love cars, engines and their complexity you can turn your passion into a profession. Students at one of the Automotive Technical Schools below will get hands-on experience in engines and repair, fuel and ignition systems, power trains, brakes, transmissions, electronics and diagnostic equipment and more.
